The Incredible Edible Garden
Seeing the benefit to having an edible garden that members of the community could access, a group of volunteers in Invermoriston researched and applied for a grant to create this unique and interesting project.
This provided an opportunity for the community to pick and harvest fruit and vegetables for their own and the community’s use while also providing an enjoyable background for socialising.

The Incredible Edible Garden is a unique way of providing fresh produce to the community while giving children and adults the pride of growing and harvesting their own herbs, fruit and vegetables.
Sited at the Millennium Hall in Invermoriston, the Incredible Edible Garden is a talking point among visitors and often the source of inspiration with many leaving the area taking thoughts of their own self-sustainability.
The Community Company released funds of £932.96 in support of the Incredible Edible Garden. This was used to buy planters, soil, herbs, flowers, pots and tools.
A team of six volunteers planted the produce and created special labels for each item.
Plans for the future development include building bug boxes and creating a nearby source of water for the dry spells.
