The proposal looking for community support was that the Community Company will take ownership of the Doctor’s surgery & build an improved facility which will in turn make recruiting new doctors easier, make more services available to the Community & provide the Company with an asset & an investment as a legacy project. A survey was taken on the night to ask if the community were ‘supportive of the Community Company taking ownership of the medical centre’ The result for those that completed the survey was as follows ~ Yes = 130 No = 14 Not decided = 3 Following this, the board will work on this project, proceed with talks with the necessary bodies & look at applying for funds to make this happen & get the best possible deal & facilities for the whole community. The Board & the Doctors would like to thank everyone that managed to make it to the meeting. We will keep you informed as the project progresses.
